My personal opinion is that the Windows's desktop environment sucks. *Out of
the box* you dont have virtual desktops, you dont have the ability to shade
windows, and you cant change window focus/raising behavior (which means no
giving focus to a window without raising it, and no focusing a window by just
moving the mouse pointer over it.) (Which I cant do any of those. Ive heard
of software that can add stuff like that, but Ive yet to find it.)
With my *nix desktop (I specifically said *nix because this can be replicated
on any sane *nix) I have all of that. So Im more comfortable with using Linux
as a desktop than Windows. (And yes, I know by saying that Im going to get
