I'd say that's a 'software author' issue, not an 'open source' issue...one
could just as easily, with a proprietary closed source program, say 
'10% of revenue goes to midgets crippled in a monkey knife fight'.

Ugandan orphans have NOTHING to do with open source per say, and much 
more to do with shitty govt. and bad economic policy.
