Yes, the 26 counties that managed to break free of British rule in a
bloody rebellion 81 years ago remain free of that rule today.

The 6 counties that weren't so lucky continue to be oppressed.

Britain's most recent action was suspension of the Assembly based on
the allegation (probably true) that it contained IRA spies.

This would be approximately equivalent to suspending the House and
Senate of the US because John Conyers had a friend in the Michigan
Militia.

No right-thinking American should stand for this, and indeed, the US
government is opposed to the action that was taken.
