were talking about Canadians on this list, you know that specific
enough terms would be used.

Your inability to accept a commonly-used term to identify a group of
people is not the problem of good old fashioned God-fearing
mom-and-apple-pie absolutely one hundred percent patriotic
heterosexual Republican Americans from the USA.  I have no time for
