I'm sorry your friend wasn't happy with his purchase. I'm sure
he can get full value for the imac when he sells it second hand, as
there is quite a demand for them. His review differs from most
others', but he is certainly entitled to his opinion.
If you're going to attack MacOS X, do so because it is not free,
which is the one major problem I still have with using it, and the
_only_ real reason why I'm debating using debian/ppc on the
laptop.
And I didn't buy Steve Jobs, I bought a machine that does what
I need it to do. As soon as good video/sound production apps make
it to Linux, my decision to run debian/ppc on the system full time
will be much easier.
