Your logic is solid, but my point was that free browsers are designed to
allow you to surf the world looking like a non-free browser for many
good reasons, so your regexp might trip on this and cause an otherwise
free-browser-wielding person to not be able to post to this list...

And such a free-browser-wielding person would probably rather have the
weblogs report a Netscape hit than an IE one...(IE is a Mozilla 5.0
compatible user agent).
