So, someone actually pulled #54 on me at a standards meeting this
week:

        http://pigdog.org/auto/mr_bads_list/shortcolumn/1914.html

We were talking about SAML (an XML protocol for exchanging security
information, using XML-DSIG for message authenticity) and the use of
timestamps in messages, and this guy says:

"Yes, but can this be embedded in an Internet-aware appliance,
like a toaster, for example? A toaster probably won't have a
        clock in it <snicker>."

I had to counter:

"Oh, yeah, while XML PARSERS, USER DATABASES and RSA KEYS and
are standard issue in most major-brand toasters. Anyways, I
don't want Luvs2Fish447 at lycos.com logging into my toaster
from Spain and burning all my Poptarts."
