It's brilliant!  What a difference that little vowel change makes!

Your parody changes "Patent" (they open, they are open) to "Petunt"
(they seek, they desire, they pursue or chase), thus exposing the true
secret nature of patents.  Rather than a force for openness, as
originally conceived, today's patents are catering to avaricious
desires for control.  And your vowel substitituion proves it!
