I read about this on Dave Farber's list this morning and just now
I wrote an Advogato article:

I bought a nice copy of Shannon and Weaver's _The Mathematical
Theory of Communication_ at the book fair over the weekend.  I'd
been looking for it for a long time.  That is a fantastic book.
