My roommate after I got out of college had one of these Afghan rugs.  It
had some people, some helicopters, and some AK-47s.  I didn't see any
light armored trucks, but the border was filled with grenades.  His
explanation, when I asked him about it, was that Afghanistan had been
war-torn for decades, and military equipment was about the only thing
of interest the people saw there.

I remember thinking at the time that this was unfortunate, and then
going to make some Mac & Cheese.
