No, I merely used a particular varient, which I find rather amusing to
I first heard this pronounciation when I was in 5th grade or so; a close
friend of mine was/is quite an avid fan of MP. I recall he used "Pithon"
to a teacher; this cracked me up and I couldn't stop giggling for some
The reason he mentioned MP to this teacher was that there was a small
school talent quest coming up, and we (my friend, myself, and another)
decided to do the digging-a-hole scene from the Life of Brian. I was the
digger, my friend was the old guy, and I forget where the other guy came
The skit was performed on top of some wooden blocks about 2 feet high, 3
feet wide, and 5 feet deep. The stage consisted of about 7 or 8 of these
blocks, and of course this being a primary school they weren't bolted
We stared nicely by giving a rendition of the fish slapping dance
(without fish!). So, to digging the virtual hole. I was wearing only
tiny little shorts, a poorer man's nakedness, and was really getting
into the act of it, so to speak. So well that I managed to slip through
a gap in the boards, dislodge most of them, and get some nasty grazes on
my thighs, hip, and ribs.
All to a standing ovation! My group took out the "Funniest skit" award.
Which is why I said "Monty Pithon", you numbskull. Didn't I tell you to
get the fuck off this list?
