Q: Why didn't the British ever seriously get into the business of
   making computers?
   
A: They just couldn't figure out how to make the things leak oil.

(I tried to follow up with a lame joke about wacko 6-volt, positive
grounded computers not being widely accepted, but my joke paled in
comparison)
