At some point I was close. I was debugging the networking for half an
hour, before I realized that the darned clumsy cat stepped on the UPS
and shut down a lot of things, the NAT included. AAARGH! If at the
least the RS232 interface in its head was still there (they've removed
it), I could hook it up to /dev/ttyS0 , and give it some shock
treatment.
