It's just the effect of compiling it on a potato box (mine). You should
really be able to compile 1.0 on slink without any problem, I did that
for 1.0.0-1.

Actually, I did not even start because I read on debian-devel that the
problem disappeared (and nobody opened a bug).
Is a slink version of 1.0 still needed?
