Troll. It's sparked so much discussion on CM and taken up all the
members' "valuable" time. They don't rant about idiots. They rant
about trolls that they think are idiots. This I know from experience

If I was new to this list I would be confused on why a stupid post got
so much attention. But trolls affect CM people so much that they tend
to start huge threads wasting hours and hours of time people could be
spending somewhere else reading something actually interesting or
funny.
