The Royal Mail in the UK tried a scheme called RelayOne whereby you
could have an email printed out and posted for the princely sum of one
pound fifty pence, sterling.  They're closing the service on Thursday,
saying that they were only getting 400 requests a month.

You can still send letters to squaddies in the colonies free of
charge.

No jobs will be lost.
